Today, the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport Authority (CMAA) acquired TAC Air’s fixed base operation at the Chattanooga Airport (CHA) in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Terms of the agreement are not being released by TAC Air. The transaction goes into effect Saturday, January 11.
TAC Air started operations at CHA over a decade ago, acquiring the assets of Krystal Aviation. The FBO has been active on the field and in the community during its period of operation, hosting events, fly-ins, cook-outs and more. TAC Air has partnered locally with many organizations, including The Hixson Museum of Flight, Make-A-Wish, TC Thompson Children’s Hospital, and The Partnership for Families, Children and Adults.
While in operation at CHA, TAC Air was the recipient of numerous safety and customer service awards, including twice being named “#1 Large FBO Chain” by the readers of Professional Pilot magazine.
TAC Air will continue to operate its other 13 fixed base operations, and is expected to announce expansion of services at existing locations as well as entry in to new markets this year.
